Jacqueline Bernardes, the latest addition to the MEU staff, arrived on MEU campus two weeks ago to supervise the cafeteria.  She comes from Sao Paolo, Brazil, where she had lived her whole life. “I had never thought about living outside my country before,” she said. “But I felt the desire to come to Lebanon because it’s missionary work and it gives me the opportunity to know a new culture, a new language, and new people.” Since obtaining a degree in Nutrition in 2000, Jacqueline has worked in various Adventist institutions including hospitals, clinics, and lifestyle centers. Before coming to Lebanon, Jacqueline was most recently working under a pharmaceutical company with diabetic patients. In her free time, Jacqueline enjoys talking, walking, traveling, meeting new people, reading, and being in nature.
