Academics
Our Approach to Academics

For over 70 years, MEU has been educating and empowering students to reach their best. As a well established educational institution within Lebanon, we take pride in our academics. However, we also endeavor to foster a nurturing environment between students and instructors.

Our staff take a vested interest in students as individuals, encouraging their future success. As a Christian university, we also promote the spiritual development of our students. It is our earnest desire that upon graduation, students will view their time at MEU as intellectually, socially, and spiritually stimulating.

A Christian Approach to Education

“Liberal education means the stretching of minds and imaginations, the unceasing stimulus to honest inquiry, the appropriation of a cultural heritage, the transmission of ideas and values, and exposure to the frontiers of learning. By definition it requires freedom to grow, to gain stimulation and to give it, freedom to meet great minds of the past and present, to interact rigorously with their ideas and weigh their values, freedom to explore new horizons and press back the frontiers of learning—in a word, it means academic freedom” (The Idea of a Christian College, pp. 61, 62).

Middle East University is a Seventh-day Adventist institution of higher education.
