The motto of Middle East University, “Gateway to Truth and Life,” can be traced to John 14:6. Thomas was slow in comprehending the teaching of Jesus Christ, so he inquired: “How can we know the way?” Jesus’ straightforward reply indicated that He is “the way and the truth and the life.”
Middle East University has always endeavored to point students in the right direction, to choose the one and only gateway that leads to the sublime truth and the genuine life. Our educational paradigm touches on all the areas of a learner’s existence. What MEU will teach and instill in you will undoubtedly prepare you to meet the challenges of this world.
Academics are important to MEU. We take pride in offering outstanding education to all our learners. Just by being at MEU is an education in itself.
Students are invited from the Middle East and the rest of the world to become part of MEU family. The significant international presence on campus over the years has contributed to a rich cultural heritage. Whether you choose the regular degree programs or the summer intensive degree programs, you will have the opportunity to learn about the country and the culture of the classmate with whom you are experiencing distinctive education on MEU’s campus. Our multicultural educational environment equips our graduates with skills and abilities that will help them succeed in their profession.
Of the 107 Seventh-day Adventist tertiary institutions worldwide, Middle East University is the only one located in the Middle East region. MEU is ranked among the oldest universities in Lebanon. Since its establishment in 1939, MEU has maintained its unique status as an advocate of balanced education for its community of learners.
Currently, MEU offers eight undergraduate programs and four graduate programs. These programs are listed under their respective departments and taught by qualified instructional faculty who hold doctoral and masters degrees.
In addition to our outstanding education, MEU is a place where you can call “home.” We desire your years at MEU to be memorable and worthwhile.
