Middle East University (MEU) is hosting its 2nd Science Summer Camp from July 18-20, 2017. This is an event you will not want to miss!
This will be a unique and exciting experience for grade 11 and 12 students. Not only is the camp free, you can also stay in our dormitories on campus with all your food provided for the duration of the camp.
So what is the Science Summer Camp? – It is a time to explore future careers in science and experience nature on our beautiful MEU campus. You will also meet new friends while participating in exciting and life-changing activities. This is not going to be a camp where you sit in classrooms and listen to lectures, it will be mostly activity-based. One of the main activities will be training for community health work with medical professionals. The training will then be put into practice conducting a community health expo downtown. This experience will be especially relevant to students wanting to be a doctor or other health professional.
One day will be dedicated to an ocean expedition with our resident marine biologist, Dr. George Jackson, to explore Mediterranean marine life. You will not want to miss this!
While you will be staying on our campus you will be able to enjoy beautiful summer evenings roasting potatoes and building new friendships. There will be lots of opportunities to talk with staff, play games or just sing songs around the campfire. Learn more about what career is for you and what is the best path to reach your goals.
We look forward to seeing you this summer. Register soon as places are limited. And remember it is totally free, there is not cost to you.
