On Tuesday, May 29, Leif Hongisto, MEU President and John Issa, the Dean of the Faculty of Education & Arts and Sciences, attended a meeting of the Lebanese University Association. The purpose of this Association, which is composed of private universities in Lebanon, is to set standards for university level courses. Member universities are required to meet certain conditions related to structure and academics. MEU, one of the five founding members, is working along with the Association to develop new programs and policies to assure the quality of higher education in Lebanon.
