Live, Love, Learn at MEU: New Student Orientation

July 23, 2021

Dear Middle East University Students:

To all our new and prospective students, we welcome you to MEU! You’re privileged to experience university life that is closer to normal than in the last few years. Our classes this Fall Semester will be in person, as will our orientation program: Live, Love, Learn at MEU.

Live, Love, Learn is a required orientation program for all of our new students. It is an opportunity to meet your classmates, make new friends, be welcomed by your lecturers, and to see what life at MEU is like. Our orientation program for this new school year will take place August 24 to 25, 2021

International students will experience one day of programming on August 24 where they will learn about life in Lebanon and adjusting to residential campus life.

All students, international and local students, will participate in another day of orientation to university life at MEU on August 25.

New international students should plan to arrive by August 19 at the latest in order to complete a three day isolation before the English language entrance exam and the in person orientation.

Remember that a vaccinated MEU community will make it possible for everyone to return to campus. Through our partnership with University of Saint Joseph, all MEU students can receive the Pfizer vaccine. This is free, without cost.

If you have not yet signed up for our vaccination campaign, please email Ryan Eusoya and register through Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health vaccination platform COVAX.

You can find the instructions for registering through COVAX here: https://www.moph.gov.lb/en/Pages/127/46554/how-to-register-on-covax-platform-to-get-the-covid-19-vaccine-

All MEU students in Lebanon, whether you are a new student this coming year or a returning student, can take their first Pfizer shot this month. Please register if you have not done so.

If you are a new or returning MEU student currently outside of Lebanon, we encourage you to obtain vaccination in your country. But if you are unable to, you may receive the Pfizer vaccination when you return to Lebanon.

We hope to see you soon! Our faculty and staff will be here to welcome you with open arms. You’ll find new friends who will encourage you and share in your new adventure. Your university family is here. Welcome to MEU.
