The Advanced School of Volunteer Service (ASVS) offers a Certificate in Volunteer Service (CVS), an advanced training program for volunteers offered by the Faculty of Philosophy and Theology, in partnership with the Mission Institute of MENAU (Middle East and North Africa Union) and Adventist Voluntary Service (AVS).
Aiming to address the complexities of service in multicultural contexts, ASVS equips its participants to promote social welfare and serve others, following the example of Jesus.
ASVS prepares potential missionaries – whether for short, medium or long-term service – with essential training in spiritual, theological, emotional, cultural and linguistic areas.
The program includes intensive language studies (English or Arabic), cultural immersion and missionary training with a focus on contextualization, worldview and emotional well-being. In addition, students gain practical experience through historical-biblical immersions and local mission projects in Lebanon, ensuring that they are well prepared to serve effectively in the MENA region and beyond.
