Building an Inclusive Campus

At Middle East University, inclusion is not just a principle — it is a practice rooted in our faith, values, and vision for education. We believe that every person, regardless of physical ability, deserves full access to learning, community, and opportunity.

In this spirit, MEU is currently installing a wheelchair-accessible ramp at the entrance of the Science Building. Upon completion, all classrooms and faculty offices on campus will be accessible to students and visitors with physical disabilities — marking an important step toward a more inclusive and welcoming campus.

This initiative reflects MEU’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities, which calls for removing barriers and creating systems that empower individuals of all backgrounds and abilities.

We recognize that accessibility is a key part of human dignity and community life. By investing in inclusive infrastructure, we affirm our dedication to equality, respect, and the belief that every student belongs — and every voice matters.

Together, we are creating a campus where all can thrive and belong.
