Honoring Commitment and Vision: Mr. Farid Khoury Appointed Vice President for Student Life

At Middle East University, student life is more than campus activities—it is the heart of spiritual growth, community belonging, and whole-person development. With joy and gratitude, MEU announces the appointment of Mr. Farid Khoury as the new Vice President for Student Life, effective December 1, 2025.

More Than 30 Years of Dedicated Service

Mr. Khoury’s relationship with MEU spans over three decades. Since joining in 1993, he has contributed to the university in multiple capacities:

  • Faculty member

  • Library Assistant

  • Library Director

  • Dean of Student Life

Over the past year, his leadership as Dean marked a renewed focus on connection, support, and student engagement. His approachable presence, calm leadership, and care for students have made him a respected and beloved figure on campus.

A Rich Academic and Professional Background

Mr. Khoury holds:

  • A Diploma of Higher Studies in Archaeology (Lebanese University)

  • An MA in Religion and Archaeology (La Sierra University, USA)

  • An MS in Information and Library Studies (University of Wales, UK)

This combination of fields reflects his unique blend of scholarship, curiosity, and human understanding—qualities that are essential for someone shaping the life and well-being of a diverse international student community.

Building a Vibrant Experience for Every Student

Under Mr. Khoury’s leadership, the Office of Student Life will continue strengthening:

  • Campus engagement and student programming

  • Social and cultural activities

  • Community-building initiatives

  • Emotional and spiritual support systems

  • Student Association mentorship and club development

His long history of involvement with student organizations, especially as sponsor of the Student Association, has already fostered a culture of belonging, creativity, and leadership on campus.

A Call to Ministry—Not Just Administration

Student Life at MEU is a ministry. It shapes relationships, forms character, and creates spaces where students feel safe, supported, and inspired. Mr. Khoury’s calm presence, deep compassion, and sustained dedication make him ideally prepared to lead this mission-driven work.

As MEU moves forward with strategic plans for growth, community engagement, and the strengthening of student support systems, Mr. Khoury’s role becomes foundational to the university’s future.
