MEU Signs MoU with ACT International
A new academic-industry partnership connects classroom learning with practical teaching experience, professional development, and paid employment opportunities.
Middle East University (MEU) has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ACT International Academy, establishing a new partnership designed to create practical professional opportunities for MEU students.
The agreement brings together MEU’s commitment to academic excellence and career readiness with ACT International Academy’s experience in practical education, professional training, and career development.
At the heart of the partnership is a shared goal: helping students connect what they learn in the classroom with meaningful professional experience.
Paid Professional Opportunities While Studying
Through the collaboration, qualified MEU students will have the opportunity to participate in paid English-language teaching opportunities while continuing their university studies.
The program is expected to particularly benefit undergraduate students in their first and second years, although students from other academic years may also be considered based on their qualifications.

Connecting Education with Real-World Experience
Beyond providing an additional source of income, the initiative is designed to strengthen essential professional skills and give students the opportunity to build meaningful work experience before graduation.
MEU will assist in identifying and referring eligible student candidates, while ACT International Academy will conduct language assessments and interviews before final acceptance.
Selected students will receive pedagogical guidance, orientation to the curriculum and teaching methodologies, as well as the instructional materials needed for their work. Upon completion, participating students will also receive official documentation verifying their teaching hours and professional service.
Flexible Online Teaching Opportunities
The initial phase of the partnership will focus on English-language instruction, covering levels from Beginner to Upper-Intermediate English.
Courses will primarily follow an online teaching model, offering greater flexibility for students to balance their academic responsibilities with professional experience.
A Partnership with Room to Grow
The MoU also establishes a framework for future collaboration between MEU and ACT International Academy. Beyond English-language instruction, the partnership may expand to include professional continuing education, specialized workshops, and corporate training programs.
