With great joy and gratitude, I am pleased to share a brief overview of the Gym renovation project at MEU. The concept of establishing a small Gym on our campus emerged during our relocation to MEU in 2019. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, including the economic crisis and political unrest, we faced challenges in progressing this initiative.
In 2022, I was appointed as the Dean for Students Life, and during my tenure, I became increasingly convinced of the importance of implementing this idea. After sharing my vision with the MEU Administration, they enthusiastically supported the project. Nevertheless, financial constraints prevented its immediate realization.
Recognizing the need for external support, I embarked on a fundraising campaign to secure the necessary funds for the renovation. I reached out to numerous friends worldwide, asking donations for this cause. Our goal was to raise approximately $10,000 to transform the Gym room into a functional and aesthetically pleasing space.
Overwhelmed with gratitude, I was delighted to learn that after more than a month of dedicated efforts, we had received nearly $9,000 in donations. Throughout this journey, we fervently prayed for God’s intervention and guidance.
Less than a month ago, we officially opened and dedicated the newly renovated Gym on our campus. The students, faculty, and staff are immensely pleased to have access to this facility, which provides them with an opportunity to engage in physical exercise and maintain a balanced lifestyle.
Our gratitude begins with God, the Provider of all our needs. He created us with a purpose to utilize our talents and serve as a blessing wherever we go.
Secondly, we express our sincere appreciation to the MEU Administration and all the individuals who contributed to the successful completion of this project.
Lastly, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the donors who generously provided financial support, enabling us to realize this aspiration.
MEU is a remarkable community brimming with visionary plans, innovative ideas, and aspirations. To achieve these goals, we often need to seek for donations.
