International Business
Understand markets. Navigate cultures. Make business work across borders.
Learn how business decisions change across markets, cultures, economies, and international environments. Build a broad business foundation while developing the perspective to understand how organizations operate across borders.
Business Across Borders
See what changes when business crosses borders.
International Business is not simply regular business in another country.
When companies operate across markets, the environment around every decision can change. Culture can shape communication and negotiation. Economic conditions and financial systems can affect what is possible. Customers may respond differently. Governments, regulations, and market conditions can reshape strategy.
At MEU, International Business helps you understand these differences and learn how to make more informed business decisions across different contexts.
Coming soon — we are working on it.

Your International Business Foundation
First understand business. Then learn what changes across borders.
International Business begins with a broad understanding of how organizations work. You build knowledge in management, accounting, economics, finance, marketing, data, statistics, law, ethics, and business strategy.
From there, your perspective expands. You learn to examine the political, legal, economic, cultural, historical, and geographic environments in which international business takes place.
You then explore how these environments affect areas such as management, international economics, banking and finance, marketing, communication, and negotiation.
The goal is not simply to know more about business. It is to recognize when the context has changed — and understand why that matters for the decisions you make.
From Knowing to Doing
Learn to make better decisions when the context changes.
Examine the conditions surrounding a business decision before deciding what matters most.
Communicate and negotiate with greater awareness of cultural differences and professional context.
Consider economic, financial, organizational, and market factors when comparing business choices.
Adjust your thinking when assumptions that work in one market or culture may not work in another.
Bring different areas of business together when several factors and priorities need to be considered at once.
Connect business knowledge and international context to address strategic and organizational problems.
Learning Beyond Theory
Put business knowledge into practice before graduation.
International Business at MEU is part of a BBA designed to connect business knowledge with application. Your learning includes opportunities to make decisions, develop ideas, analyze strategy, and experience a professional business environment.
Applied Business Learning
Practice decisions. Develop ideas. Think strategically.
Business Simulation Modeling places you in realistic decision-making situations where management, marketing, finance, human resources, ethics, and changing market conditions interact.
Through entrepreneurship and strategy work, you also move from ideas toward application — including developing a business concept and working with strategic problems connected to real organizations.

Is International Business the same as International Business Management?
