Information Systems Assistant:

Responsibilities

Work with the IT Director to provide IT services to Middle East University.  Responsibilities may include: providing Help Desk assistance, maintenance of equipment, and helping with the development of infrastructure and systems.

Qualifications

  • English proficiency is preferred but not limiting, additional languages are a plus
  • Preferably senior or graduated from any computer field

English Teacher:

Responsibilities

Join our team at Middle East University as an English Teacher, where you will inspire and educate students through engaging language instruction. We are seeking a motivated individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences while upholding Christian values and fostering a welcoming environment for our students, faculty, and staff.

  • Prepare and deliver four classes using the book and teaching resources provided for each class. Each class meets twice a week for two periods of 50 minutes each time.
  • Plan and implement different types of assessments like chapter tests, presentations, reading reports, writing assignments, and conversation logs.
  • Keep a record of attendance and grades and make it available to students. Systems like Moodle and Google classroom are available for that purpose.
  • Be involved in other MEU activities and church initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Hold a High School diploma.
  • Active membership, involvement, and good standing in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. 
  • Strong teaching skills.
  • Strong computer literacy.
  • Good communication skills in both oral and written English. Additional languages are a plus. 
  • Previous cross-cultural service experience (recommended but not required).
  • Positive attitude and ability to plan and adapt to change.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to provide spiritual and emotional support.

Responsibilities

Provide communication advice to the Advancement and Marketing department through the implementation of communication responsibilities such as writing the president’s newsletter, the university’s weekly newsletter, the alumni newsletter, writing press releases, news and stories, scripts for multimedia content, and content for the website.
