On May 6, the Executive Committee voted to appoint Keila Krause as Middle East University’s new Vice President for Finance.
Keila brings with her 35 years of experience working in well-known companies in Brazil. She has served at Autolatina Brazil, the Sao Paulo State Government, Lloyds Bank, Caterpillar Bank, and Caterpillar Insurance. Over the years, she has held leadership roles in customer service, risk management, sales, and general management. She is known for her ability to lead teams, solve problems together with others, plan strategically, handle conflicts, and manage sales. She holds two MBA degrees—one in Financial Management and the other in Industrial Management.
Keila is an active and committed member of her local Adventist church in Sao Paulo. She serves in the Singles Ministry and is also part of the national Adventist Motorcycle Ministry. Recently, she felt a clear calling from God to leave the corporate world and serve Him in a different way. We believe God has been preparing her for this new chapter and to accept our invitation to join the MEU family.
Her appointment will officially begin once the General Conference completes the screening process, which usually takes about six months. Please keep Keila in your prayers as she prepares for this transition.
Keila will be taking the place of Dr. Ronald Sandoval, who has chosen to return home to be closer to his aging parents. On behalf of the entire MEU community, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to Ronald and Eisia for their faithful service over the past four years. Their love for MEU’s mission and their dedication to their work in Lebanon have made a lasting difference. We pray that God will continue to guide and bless them as they begin this new season of life.
