Middle East University is a Seventh-day Adventist institution of higher education, serving Lebanon, the Adventist Church in the Middle East North Africa region, and the worldwide Adventist Church, as a member of the global Adventist Education system.

Philosophy of Education

Middle East University's philosophy of education is Christ-centered, aiming to restore human beings into the image of their Maker. We believe that, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, God's character and His purposes can be understood as revealed in the Bible, in Jesus Christ, and in nature.

The education at Middle East University imparts more than academic knowledge. It fosters a balanced development of the whole person-spiritually, intellectually, physically, and socially. It seeks to develop a life of faith in God and respect for the dignity of all human beings; to build character akin to that of the Creator; to promote loving service to human beings rather than selfish ambition; and to encourage independent thinking and maximum development of each individual's potential.
