I am Daniel Laflouf. I am a Computer Science student. My experience at Middle East University has been nothing short of transformative. I did not know what to expect when I started my first day at MEU, but if I am being honest, it is one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. First and foremost, the quality of teaching at Middle East University is truly exceptional. The faculty members are not only experts in their respective fields but also dedicated mentors who are deeply invested in the success and well-being of their students. Their passion for teaching and unwavering support has inspired me to strive for excellence in all areas of my academic and personal life. Moreover, my experience at Middle East University has deepened my spirituality in ways I never thought possible. The university’s commitment to faith has provided me with a rich spiritual foundation rooted in principles of love, compassion, and service to others. Through church services and prayer meetings, I have had the opportunity to explore and strengthen my faith, deepen my understanding of scripture, and cultivate a meaningful relationship with God. This urged me to become the Vice President of Spiritual Affairs in the Student Association to uplift the spiritual life on campus and encourage other students to pursue their path with God. Besides, the new Advanced School of Missions has been instrumental in broadening my missional and cultural horizons. Through this initiative, I’ve had the invaluable opportunity to immerse myself in mission, while gaining a deeper understanding and appreciation for the diversity of the world around me. Similarly, through volunteering and community engagement projects, MEU has provided a platform that has fostered in me a sense of mission, and a profound sense of empathy and global citizenship, shaping me into a more open-minded and culturally aware individual. Finally, I am profoundly grateful for the scholarship opportunities provided by Middle East University. Without financial aid, it would have been impossible for me to pursue my academic goals. This support has not only eased the financial strain on my family but has also allowed me to focus wholeheartedly on my studies, extracurricular activities, and personal development. In conclusion, Middle East University has been more than an institution of higher learning for me. It has been a nurturing ground for personal, academic, and spiritual growth. I am immensely grateful for the profound impact this institution has had on my life.
